Description:
We currently have an opening for a Director, Client Assistance Program in our Services department.
The Director, Client Assistance Program will direct and administer the Dr. Lorraine Marchi/NAVH Client Assistance Program at Lighthouse International. This program was designed and continues to help people overcome the challenges of vision loss.
Additional Qualifications:
Responsibilities include:
• Supervise a team of Social Workers to handle client caseloads
• Develop and oversee support groups and discussions for clients to help cope with the psychological effects of vision loss while sharing experiences and advice
• Develop educational literature on vision health
• Keep up to date with the latest developments in assistive technology and conduct educational presentations on the latest treatments and advances in research on various eye conditions
The ideal candidate will have a Masters degree in Social Work and an LMSW with at least 7 years of experience working with and having knowledge of services for the visually impaired.
