Position Title: Director, Brand Development
Division/Office/Unit: Marketing and Communications
Type of Position: Exempt/Regular/Full-Time
Salary Offer Range: Commensurate with skills and experience

Job Summary: Director, Brand Development will be responsible for guiding and executing the organization’s new brand messaging program across applicable channels. He or she will be responsible for managing the branding/creative agencies and ensuring that the new positioning is brought to life consistently through all channels. He or she will also be responsible for ensuring that the new positioning and messaging are communicated out to all parties with in the 4-H organization, while helping them to bring the brand message to life on a local level. This position will be reporting to the Sr. Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer.

Responsibilities include:
- Work with the creative agency to bring the brand positioning to life in all messaging and channels.
- Ensure that the position and messages are delivered consistently
- Work with a cross functional organization to communicate and educate on the new positioning and help to bring it to life in internal and external relationships.
- Partner to develop advertising programs for any partner relationships.
- Manage any other creative vendors needed to help deliver on the new position, advertising or messaging needs.
- Identify opportunities to bring efficiency and greater effectiveness for the advertising program.
- Oversee Retail Project Manager to ensure that all deliverables are met
- Collaborate with communications contacts within the 4-H system, Cooperative Extension and the nation’s 109 Land Grant Universities that implement 4-H programs at the local and state level.
- Develop and manage training programs and materials to support system engagement

Additional Qualifications:

Qualifications:
• 10 years of advertising experience, including several years in an advertising/branding agency.
• Management of advertising campaigns
• Work within a large cross functional organization
• Work in close partnership with other marketing disciplines to deliver on overall strategy
• Proven track record of strategic brand development
• Experience in managing creative development, creative teams and creative processes
• Strong knowledge of creative process and project management experience; superb attention to detail of execution and the ability to work quickly under deadline pressure and remain flexible
• Proficient in advertising traffic and metrics
• Interpersonal skills to function effectively in a fast paced team environment, and multi-task
• Excellent presentation and collaboration skills; demonstrate ability to drive ideas through a complex organization with multiple stakeholders
• Ability to build strategic plans and execute them, while setting and managing multiple priorities
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing communications or related field
