American Humanics

Logo American Humanics (AH) prepares and certifies next generation nonprofit leaders through competency-based academic coursework at college and university campuses throughout the country and online, intensive nonprofit internships and through AmeriCorps national service programs. Through its alliance of 70 college and university partners and 70 national nonprofit partners, AH offers the most comprehensive national undergraduate nonprofit management and leadership certification in the country.

Through a strategic partnership between the National Human Services Assembly and American Humanics, careersforgood.org is now the official internship and placement partner for AH students and alumni. This partnership directly connects the membership of the National Human Services Assembly to the diverse, committed, and certified talent needed to lead and manage next generation nonprofit organizations.

For Employers

Humanics

Because careersforgood.org is the premier internship and placement service for thousands of American Humanics students and alumni across the country, employers will gain a greater percentage of AH job applicants for positions they post. These professionals not only have academic preparation but have also tested their certification in actual professional settings through intensive nonprofit internships. Look for the American Humanics certification on application material to identify diverse passionate and talented nonprofit professionals.

American Humanics also provides financial support for internship and job placements of AH students and alumni through its Next Gen Leaders Program and AmeriCorps ProCorps Program. Please contact American Humanics for more information on how to access these programs (Ben Nemenoff - 800-343-6466 ext 114).

For Internship and Job Seekers

Now, more than ever, nonprofits are looking for future leaders with the knowledge and vision to generate organizational innovation and sustainability within the ever-shifting social and economic environment.

Humanics

The American Humanics Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership represents the achievement of national academic and experiential standards that are endorsed by leading nonprofit organizations. The American Humanics certificate provides a tangible advantage over the average entry-level applicant. Certified AH students and alumni have demonstrated 17 essential nonprofit competencies, gained practical experience in nonprofit organizations and attended the American Humanics National Management and Leadership Institute. Certification provides students and professionals with the equivalent of at least one year of nonprofit employment experience and prepares them for the nonprofit management career track.

American Humanics also recognizes the importance of internships in the development of next generation leaders. AH is dedicated to quality internship programs for students and nonprofit employers through internship standards and our national placement program. Through programs such as the Next Gen Leaders Program and AmeriCorps ProCorps Program AH directly supports students in internships through stipends and AmeriCorps educational awards. Students that complete AH internships are better prepared to work in the sector and many students find full-time employment through their internship experience.

The nonprofit sector is searching for the next generation of nonprofit leaders, and the American Humanics Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership gives nonprofit professionals an edge in the marketplace.

For those with American Humanics Nonprofit Management and Leadership Certification, careersforgood.org is the best place to search for jobs with nonprofit organizations that recognize the value of AH certification.
